Indoor/Outdoor Dining and Shopping

Franklins is now open for indoor and outdoor seating - granted, some things are different, but we are so happy to welcome you back.

Outside is more of a beer garden in the parking lot and is first-come, first-served (we do not reserve outside seats).

When you arrive, check with the servers stationed outside for table availability. The servers are also there to make sure that tables are fully cleaned and sanitized between customers.  You’ll be waited on, but your food and drinks will arrive in to-go containers, with everything set up for single use.  At this time, our complete food menu plus pints of beer, glasses and bottles of wine, select cocktails, and soft drinks are available outside.

The inside has changed a bit.  As before, check with the hosts and have them seat you.  New barriers have been installed and tables are more spread out to ensure social distancing.  Food is served on plates, drinks in glasses, and a full bar, and different sized beers (including samplers) are available.  Due to limited space, we only accept reservations for parties of six or fewer inside. To make a reservation, call us at (301) 927-2740.

Both inside and outside, our tables are set at least six feet apart in accordance with Prince George’s County and the State of Maryland guidelines of safe social distancing.  Additionally, we can only put as many as six people at a single table.  As tempting as it may be to add an extra chair or slide a table over when an old friend stops by, everything has been measured out by us. We want everyone to be safe, both our guests and staff.

To that end, face coverings must be worn when entering and moving around the building.  Our staff are wearing masks, and we need you to be wearing one as well.

The General Store is also fully open and has been practicing extra sanitation measures to offer a safer shopping experience.  Please keep your masks on and keep safe social distancing in mind.  Much like the carryout line, six feet spaces have been marked on the floor if you find yourself waiting in line to check out.
